If you want to see what the south Shore of western Long Island looked like this is the place for you. Quiet, even with some traffic nearby. The trail does not look like much at first but if you cross a small tributary on the logs that are sometimes there and push south you are reworded with a beautiful wide path along the creek all the way to Croons Lake. Make sure to not go on the bike path (way too much traffic) instead of going left, go right! Chipmunks, birds, rabbits, snakes, and other creatures live here.
