I thought initially it was very smart of Lifetime to explore this show and what it legitimately did for Television.

The movie was interesting enough, but just because it was Dustin Diamond's version, it makes it difficult for someone to watch (and believe) it without any trace of prejudice. “And I guess I’m OK with that.” After chatting with Diamond a few weeks ago, I can attest that he really has begun to embrace that, which is a legitimately wonderful thing. It's like all the behind the scenes things you heard over the years like Lisa and Mark dating and putting it on screen. Just when it looks like The two-hour cinematic manifestation of a chip on Diamond’s shoulder slogs along, depicting Diamond as the slighted cast member, shunned by his costars because of how much younger he is and whose talents are ignored because the other actors are more attractive and popular. My wife made me watch it once and now we watch it first thing every Saturday morning mostly because our local tv stations just stopped showing saved by the Bell reruns on Saturday mornings last month. Diamond is slighted with a trip to a mall in South Carolina.It’s not until the last 20 minutes of the film that things start getting exciting. Kelly's grandfather, Harry, invites the gang for a vacation at his hotel, the Hawaiian Hideaway, in Honolulu, but they soon discover that a rival threatens to put Harry out of business and scheme to help save the Hideaway.
