We ordered two pounds of snow crab legs and we got pound of shrimp for FREE. Already reserving my space cause with all the Hoopla its gonna be a hard ticket!Great spot that takes you back to NOLA. Larger parties of 8 or more will require a deposit of $5 per person to hold their reservation. Our waitress was so nice and on point. When you walk in the door you meet Luke, He's totally fabulous!!! The food was so yummmmy. He's from Louisiana and we both start talking about a restaurant that had some incredible "nawlins" food. We had 4 raw oysters which were awesomely shucked and very fresh. Are they offering takeout, delivery, or both? The restaurant has a cool setting of NOLA style. Note that we try our best to accommodate your preference, but it is not always guaranteed. They literally gave me 3 shrimps lol My fiancé had the salmon with mashed sweet potato and spinach he said it was just okay as well. I think if we came as a couple or with a small group the food would have been much better.
Fleur de lis decorating the bar area. Got 2 free Hurricanes to start and Bon had Tequila Kama Kaze...way to go! The bartender is a character and totally adds a vibe to the place. I've been to NOLA before and the food here came very close, I left impressed.Bon and I revisited Top Hat Saturday night for dinner making me the Duke of Top.Hat!. If you get a chance stop by you won't regret it. It wasn't. The shrimp Gumbo was just okay.
That's why I try to get to Top Hat Oyster Bar & French Quarter as often as I can! Not sure I'd come back after that experience.Chef/owner Stephen Rosenbluth of Anchor Down and Cardoon has done it again with his new restaurant Top Hat.
