They took designer ideas and tricks of the trade and broke them down into ideas that almost anyone could implement in their own space. It was fun to see different kinds of houses getting transformed.I loved trading spaces! It makes me sick to see the beautiful windows all boarded up in the room with the straw. It looked like a million blacked out windows. Would love to know which you feel are *worth* tuning in to… I agree, would love to have Julia’s opinion on Curb Appeal and other showsHildy’s were the worst!!! It was a Trading Spaces classic! It started when I was a teenager, and I sorely miss it.
It’s just so excruciatingly repetitive, I can’t stand it anymore. I used to watch “Changing Rooms,” too, and loved it! She outlined white squares all over the room. Before I even read this article, I knew most of the dreadful photos were going to be Hildi’s creations. I hated that Hildi seemed to have no concern for the mess she was leaving. It was pretty awful!the lip headboard was at my neighbors’ house! I remember Hilde’s “Tiffany” room where she painted everything robin’s egg blue, then spray-painted “bows” on the walls.

And don’t get me started on Love it or List It. They said they had just painted the whole basement white to bring in as much light as possible. The walls were painted “parchment”! The Property Brothers are determined to help couples find, buy and transform extreme fixer-uppers into the ultimate dream home. I also remember telling my husband that if approached by HGTV, he was to never let these designers near our home – they were terrible!! Remember when Genevieve did a bedroom with moss all over a wall?? The other couple cut it into different pieces. She was the original mood board creator!
