I had nice experience being there. There’s trails on the side - Rouge National Urban Park. The beach looked like a seashore during low tide. It was a nice little "adventure" to get there. Any time of the year, the picturesque scenery around Rouge Beach is calming and impressive. Rouge National Urban Park is open year-round, accessible by public transit, and the largest urban park in North America.

Anyways, there's free parking, beautiful scenery and lots of greenery, a long easy trail to walk, and overall it was a pretty relaxed environment (especially in comparison to Woodbine beach which is always hectic, loud and crowded). I loved all the lilly pads, how the rocks are positioned, the view...all of it. Water is clean, however beware of rocks.

We always go to Rouge beach once a week sometimes twice a week too. yes, you can do it here as well. It has a clean water on shore side with sandy beach & perfect spot to view entire Lake Ontario.
