And construction near the stage grounds seems to be complete along the walkways, so you can access the South River overlook or the paths leading up to the most beautiful view!My dogs go bonkers for this park! The dog park up the trail is large and has plenty of shade and seating. Great pavilions and there’s even a dog beach! Once he was comfortable we went to the big dog section and all the dogs were friendly, the owners were on top of them to behave well, there was running water with bowls and plenty of cleanup supplies. Loved the dog beach. Sandy beach protected by stone jetties on each side. The Visitor Center's two art galleries display art exhibitions of the best local and regional talents. Fresh water and big bowls!We drove from Virginia for a long weekend and found this gem! So many fun things to see we lost count.

It's well maintained, the majority of owners are sane, and there is even a cool off leash dog beach!
