Hey Ryan, a month on Koh Lanta sounds fantastic! When Mares introduced the Puck Dive Computer on the market in 2008, it sent a shockwave rippling through the industry: a super intuitive, easy-to-use, and full featured RGBM Nitrox computer at an extremely competitive price. Highly recommend. The USB cable accessory needed to download the dive data from the Mares Puck Pro to your laptop is an optional extra which will is rapidly dropping in price thanks to the release of the bluetooth capable Puck Pro PLUS. We head to the Philippines in March and I'l be able to update my review afterwards. I recall living on Koh Lanta in Thailand for a month – big dive spot – and our neighbor who was an instructor wanted to get us in the tank. I though it was small display but it good enough.
I was planning to use the Mares Puck Pro as a backup to my console mounted Aqualung i300C, but I find it way more convenient to read from the Puck Pro underwater. With all the bells-and-whistles, with no unnecessary frills, the Puck Pro+ Wrist Computer is what you're looking for. All the menus are identical, down to the software version number.

Performed as advertised and has an amazingly understandable interface. Everything in the menu is in a logical order and very easy to find. Easy to use and easy to read. This resumes if you re-submerge within 3 minutes and it logs the time on the surface as part of the dive. Thanks for all the great info.
Leisure Pro could take better photos to reflect exatly the correct size. Now I bought this one as a gift for my partner. I was planning to use the Mares Puck Pro as a backup to my console mounted Aqualung i300C, but I find it way more convenient to read from the Puck Pro underwater. Slim design for a perfect fit. I don't dive a lot because of my location, so I usually spend a fair amount of money on trips.
I went for the USB cable version as it is available now, and works just fine.
The only difference there might be is the "better readability" but I didn't look too closely at that.

Concluding, If you are looking for a dive computer which is affordable, easy to use and read, without any fancy functions, low cost, reliable, containing the basics for diving and Nitrox compatible, then the Mares Puck Pro+ is definitely an option for you. Upgradeable firmware. Lastly, I would be comfortable with this as a primary, although I like the integrated.

The guy had to sit out the morning! Love it; can’t beat it for the price; I took to 110-115 ft on our deepest dives, but usually in 60-80 ft.

Now Mares is doing it again. The menus are easy to navigate. You have to email support and they don’t answer.

Was this review helpful? I can't tell a bit of difference between the two other than the casing. I bought the original "Puck Pro" two years ago and I love it - it really does everything you may want from a diving computer as a recreational diver.
On the other hand, if you are looking just as an upgrade for the Mares Puck Pro or is looking for a complete dive computer for tech dive, go look for other options. Mares Puck Pro+ Wrist Computer The seal was broken and there were signs of it inside.
This unit is easy to operate and performs as advertised. This was our second Mares dive computer.
