At that point 90 million tons of rock let loose from Turtle Mountain burying the eastern part of the town of Frank, two kilometres of the CPR railway line and at least 90 people – all in under 100 seconds. The gift shop should be expanded and they should have some more snacks for sale, as restaurants are not close.We were pressed for time and were going to pass this by but am very glad we didn't.

You can really get a feel for the impact the slide had not only on the people but the impact on nature too.We went to the interpretative centre fro Frank Slide. We did the full loop but I recommend people that have little ones on hike about 5 minutes down from the parking lot and then turn around and go back the way you came because it is quite a long loop and it is a steep climb back up on the backside of the loop.
