The family is going on a road trip which is supposed to be fun.

In Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, the Heffley family road trip to Meemaw’s 90th birthday party takes a wild detour thanks to Greg’s newest scheme to attend a video gaming convention. Still love this series, and was a great time reading this instalment. The Heffleys find that the locker is empty, and Greg assumes that their belongings must have been stolen by whoever found the key. Without the realistic part, you can only think that this never happened.
My school is under attack, and it's up to me to save it! I think this is because in this volume Gregg actually comes across as a slightly more likeable boy.
A vast improvement.

Greg chooses not to confront them and goes back to his family at the snack bar.
I have also substituted in an elementary school media center for several years I can attest that nothing flies off the shelf faster than a Wimpy Kid book. Next page.
Be it a doomed trip to the beach with an angry gull, a county fair with a piglet as a prize, or the mysterious Beardo family that seems to be following their every footstep, Greg’s just hoping he makes it home in one piece.What I thought of the book was very funny.
That would explain why some of the events happen in the first place. At the fair, Greg's little brother, Manny, wins a live baby pig from a contest.
I recommend this series to readers who like to laugh when reading.

The Heffleys get their car back from the mechanic, but since Greg's parents have left their wallets in the locker, they are unable to pay him.
