Still not bad for this type of movie. They run their boat onto the ground and abandon ship, implying that the boat wouldn't move. The only exception is the Superman imitation, which was actually quite fun, but little moments like this are like sprinkles of fun in a vast sea of truly horrible. Now I could go the funny route and say how it's a masterpiece and factually accurate about both spiders and earthquakes but I'm not going to, that is done better by other letterboxders and, personally I will never out do my own Sharknado review so I'd like to use this opportunity to talk a little bit about the recent boom in 'so bad it's good' low budget, straight to TV movies. Reviewed on: 13 Apr 2014 I guess the SyFy Channel thought they were on to something when they decided to make ARACHNOQUAKE, a combination of two of their preferred genres - the monster movie and the disaster flick. They were right at a drug store. And it was a little weird to have a brother/sister relationship that might have been more interesting as a romantic relationship. As far as acting...at a minimum and horrible. This is actually not bad for the Syfy channel. Prepare to get ARACHNOQUAKED!!! This is a horrible movie but it can be horribly fun if you watch it with friends, and you just make jokes and laugh about how stupid the movie is, which I'm pretty sure is exactly what the intention of the film's producers was. Don’t worry, it won’t take long. | I absolutely love that someone thought this was a great idea to make into a movie. SyFy channel once again passes off schlock as horror. Arachnoquake may be the best SyFy original film. Griff Furst directs this SyFy creature feature, and he has a pretty good track record of delivering an entertaining flick.
