One of the teachers initiates a discussion about name-calling and bullying among teen girls, clearly an attempt to convey a clear positive message amidst the comedy. They literally go over it in the movie.This movie is not as bad a reviews crack it up to be. When watching this chick flick I actualy observed a good life lessonMean Girls tells the story of Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan), a girl who's been homeschooled in Africa since she was 4, and is going to an American public high school for her junior year. And very funny one-liners. A home-schooled teenager (Lindsay Lohan) who has spent her early life traveling with her archaeologist parents, has to attend a public high school for the first time when her mother accepts a position at a university. I have to admit that despite being a straight, 22 year old guy I have always had a weakness for teen films so I was looking forward to Lindsay Lohan's (who really impressed me in 'Freaky Friday' and the much underrated 'Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen') latest. 15 out of 15 found this helpful. This movie rating is for us teens, not your child beginning puberty. Dark '90s high school comedy has lots of sex, cursing. Gay slurs used. I do not remember anyone at my school acting like this. A home-schooled teenager (Lindsay Lohan) who has spent her early life traveling with her archaeologist parents, has to attend a public high school for the first time when her mother accepts a position at a university. It is still good and has not dated at all. If you are not familiar with singer Janis Ian, check out her hit single "Seventeen") and Damian (Daniel Franzese), but gets sucked into a three-girls clique called the Plastics. After her role in the "burn book," the lead character helps to make her school less cliquish, and has clearly learned from the mistakes she has made.
