Luckily it did and we...Have been a loyal and regular customer of Morans since my UCG days of late 1980s. Cold seafood platter is more than it seems.I hardly give 5 stars to any restaurant...you really have to deserve it. Our seafood wasn't...We got the recommendation from our the host of the Airbnb where we stayed nearby. Great setting for a post dinner drink too when the weather is good. Then we had fresh fresh fish of all types and finished with 3 deserts for 5 adults to taste.
All were decent but nothing particularly special.

Today Morans is run by the 7th generation of the Moran family in the business. We each had an oyster taster and the seafood chowder and both dishes were to die for! Lovely hidden gem outside of the city. We came here several times during the Galway Oyster shucking festival. We started with a half dozen of the Gigas oysters and bottle of wine. Today Morans is run by the 7th generation of the Moran family in the business. For dessert I recommend a piece of Baileys cheesecake and an Irish coffee... can't wait to come back!Start with oysters; we had them 3 ways; raw, grilled and florentine.
A dozen raw and half dozen Rockefeller. Food was delicious! the food (especially the roasted oysters) and service were outstanding....My best ppl took me to this amazing place for oysters on the first of my arrival.
